NOVA to host grand opening of Regional Center for Workforce Education and Training, March 2

The Woodbridge Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will host the grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting of the Regional Center for Workforce Education and Training (RCWET) on Wednesday, March 2, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. The RCWET offers a convenient and local solution for highly-specialized continuing professional education. 

Speakers for the event include the following local and state officials along with regional business liaisons:

NOVA’s Workforce Development offers non-credit programs in person or online that enable participants to gain entry-level skills, hone and develop new skills within their career fields or to explore new careers.

The RCWET is a 55,000 square-foot state-of-the-art building that will serve as the epicenter of high-quality training and education delivery, creating a workforce to meet the technological demands of Northern Virginia businesses, government and military communities. Training programs provided will include Cybersecurity, Healthcare, IT, Program Management and more, allowing area employers and their employees the ability to expand their professional expertise.

The Regional Center also houses a Professional Testing Center and 7,500 square-foot conference center designed to host a range of events from industrial-type training, exhibits, trade shows, formal gatherings and special events. For more on the RCWET, visit http://www.nvcc.edu/rcwet/index.html
