**Students who sign up for a JumpStart2NOVA session of MTH 154 are highly encouraged to attend one of our preparatory Ramp Up for MTH 154 workshops. These free workshops are offered virtually and in person. More information will be sent to students who enroll in a JumpStart2NOVA session of MTH 154.

How much will JumpStart2NOVA courses cost?

Tuition for up to four credits of JumpStart2NOVA courses will be paid via scholarship – one three-credit course plus our one-credit College Success Skills course. Students do not owe tuition and fees for courses enrolled through the JumpStart2NOVA program. Students are responsible for any textbooks or course materials required.

Students will see a tuition bill for their JumpStart2NOVA courses and will receive email reminders to make a payment. Please disregard these reminders. As long as you followed the registration procedures and were enrolled through the Office of Dual Enrollment, NOVA will apply your scholarship to cover tuition and fees for your JumpStart course no later than the last day of class. You are responsible for tuition and fees for any courses enrolled outside of the JumpStart2NOVA program.

How Do I Qualify for my JumpStart2NOVA Course?

All JumpStart2NOVA students must reside in NOVA’s service area, be graduating high school in spring 2023, and be in good academic standing at NOVA.

How Do I Apply for the JumpStart2NOVA Program?

STEP 1: Apply to NOVA

Complete your application to NOVA and select your admit term as Summer 2023. Be sure to copy your EMPLID, username, and password for future reference. 

If you are already a NOVA student, locate your EMPLID and proceed to step 2.

STEP 2: Complete your JumpStart2NOVA application

Go to https://nvcc.dualenroll.com/login. First-time users must create an account using your personal email address and a new username and password. This is not the same as your NOVA login credentials that you were given when you applied to NOVA. 

Returning users log into your existing nvcc.DualEnroll.com account. 

All students must upload a current high school transcript, and any additional qualifying score reports if they are using test scores to qualify for courses. 

Be sure to select JumpStart2NOVA 2023 as your term. 

Pick one course from the list, and add the 1-credit SDV 100 if you wish. If you select more courses, your request will not be approved.

STEP 3: Check your email for updates on your JumpStart2NOVA application.

We will send you email updates as we process your application. Timely response is required. All steps and necessary documents must be submitted before 5PM on May 19th, 2023.
