The 2019 InNOVAtion Grants for Departmental Innovation and Collaborative Teaching application is now open. The NOVA Foundation will fund up to $60,000 in allotments up to $10,000 to allow the pursuit of imaginative and innovative projects that support the College's mission, goals and objectives. Funding may be used for a variety of initiatives, including innovative teacher training, new course design, and student advancement opportunities. Projects that are specific and substantive, that show a direct impact on students are encouraged. The intent of this grant is to encourage innovation and should not be for a pre-existing/ongoing project or previously Foundation funded projects. A strong preference will be given to InNOVAtion Grant proposals that will have a college-wide impact, cross-campus collaboration, or cross-department collaboration. All InNOVAtion grant winners will be asked to present at a NOVA Foundation Board meeting following the completion of their project and to submit an evaluation.
The grant application will be open through 5 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019. The NOVA Foundation InNOVAtion Grants Committee will review applications throughout the month of April and recipients will be notified of their status by mid-May via email. Awardees will have one year to complete their project and submit evaluations to the NOVA Foundation.
The NOVA Foundation is proud to have awarded over $1 million in grants to NOVA faculty and staff for the last 30 years. In addition to grants, the NOVA Foundation has recognized outstanding faculty and staff for their service to the College and their commitment to student learning.
