NOVA Shuttle

  • All NOVA students, staff and faculty can ride for free by showing their NOVA card. Shuttle tracking and updates are available in real time through the NOVA Bus Tracker.
  • Text “NOVA Shuttles” to 1.800.546.6151 to receive emergency alerts about the shuttle via text message.

Zimride

  • Zimride is a fun and easy way to share the seats in your car or catch a ride. Zimride at NOVA helps you offer or request rides for commutes, road trips and popular events. If you have a car, split costs by offering rides. If you don’t have a car, and rides where you need to go.
  • Requires an @email.vccs.edu email address for students.

Dial-A-Ride

  • Subsidized taxicab program for Fairfax County residents who are income eligible.
  • Eligibility: Fairfax County residents who meet income guidelines of 225% of the U.S. Federal Poverty Guidelines.
  • Trip purpose: No restrictions.
  • Area served: Anywhere within the participating taxi companies’ service areas.
  • How to use: Contact participating taxi companies for reservations.
  • Cost: Depends on the length of the trip.

  • CHO is an all-volunteer organization that helps the needy in Vienna, Oakton, Dunn Loring, and Merrifield.
