Publish Your Site

If you are a staff or faculty member at NVCC, you are entitled to space on a server where you can post a website. When you were hired, your supervisor filled out a form that requested that certain technology resources be made available to you. Your personal web space was probably created at that time. (If not, contact the Help Desk to find out how to request a personal web page.) If you have never used your space on the server, there is probably a blank web site template in your folder on the web server.

If you would like to publish your own website, you need to put the html files that you create in your personal web folder on the server. There are several different ways to do this. If you are on campus, you can map a drive to your web folder. If you are off-campus, you must use an FTP program to transfer your files to your folder on the web server.
