For many disciplines, a Master’s degree in the discipline or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. For some disciplines, such as Veterinary Technology, HVAC, welding and more, the minimum qualifications may depend on certifications, education, and/or work experience.
Candidates should have the following required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to use technology to enhance instruction; excellent oral/written communication skills;
- demonstrated teaching skills;
- Experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at NOVA.
