Prerequisites: NUR 111, NUR 118, NUR 150, STD 295, ENG 111, NAS 161-162, HLT 141, HLT 250, PSY 201-202. Co- requisites: NUR 255 & Humanities elective . Focuses on nursing care of individuals/families requiring the integration of complex concepts of nursing related to psychiatric and medical/surgical disorders throughout the lifespan. Content includes: math computational skills, basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care; psychiatric, respiratory, regulatory, endocrine, oncology and hematological disorders. Uses all concepts of the nursing process with increasing degrees of skill. Provides supervised learning experience in college nursing laboratories and /or cooperating agencies. Lecture 4 hours. Laboratory 15 hours. Total 19 hours per week. (Only prereq of being in NUR Plan is hard-coded)
