[ NVCC Home Page | Catalog Search | Table of Contents | Instructional Programs | Divisions | Previous Page | Next Page ] Purpose: The career studies certificate in Carpentry Framing is designed to prepare students for the residential framing program, a specialized subcraft of carpentry, through classroom instruction and through the hands-on framing in new home construction. This work-based learning approach will develop skilled workers to address the skilled worker shortages. The program is designed to accommodate a maximum of 15 students enrolled at one time. Students attend 7 hours a day, 2 days a week.
Total credits for the Carpentry Framing Career Studies Certificate = 28. All first-time students must take a one-credit Student Development (STD) course prior to enrolling in their 16th credit at NVCC.
