Students must comply with all General Admission Requirements for Annandale Campus Health Technology Programs. (See page 99.) Additional Admission Requirements: Students must meet the following requirements in order to be certified as an EMT/B in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Section 6:00 of the EMS Rules and Regulations): 1. First Year requirements for degree program. 2. Special Program Completion Requirements for the A.A.S. degree in Emergency Medical Services Technology.
Total credits for the Basic Emergency Medical Technician Career Studies Certificate = 23. All first-time students must take a one-credit Student Development (STD) course prior to enrolling in their 16th credit at NVCC.
