Event Planning at NOVA

Each NOVA campus coordinates college facilities and resources requests for conferences and meetings by corporations and the community. Services available include: room rental, computer laboratory rental, consulting services, audio conferencing, satellite downlink and teleconferencing. In addition, the Alexandria, Annandale and Manassas Campuses have cultural centers that offer state-of-the-art facilities for a variety of entertainment functions.


Located seven miles south of Washington, DC, the campus sits on 51.4 acres and includes three buildings and the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center. The Bisdorf Building features state-of-the-art science labs, a comprehensive student service center, and a 150-seat theater.

Baker TheaterNOVA’s Alexandria Campus Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall & Arts Center consists of the breathtaking 981-seat Mary Collier Baker Theater, the beautiful Wachovia Forum, the intimate Margaret W. and Joseph L. Fisher Art Gallery, and Internet-ready seminar rooms available for rent.

This premier performing arts center can accommodate large performance groups and off-Broadway theater companies and is affordable for local non-profit groups. The Center has meeting space that will accommodate 10 to 150 people Monday through Saturday and offers access to audiovisual equipment, Internet connections and kitchen facilities.

Arts & Theater

Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center

Ernst Cultural CenterNOVA’s Annandale Campus has a 66,000 square foot cultural center available for rent containing a 525-seat state-of-the-art theater with satellite downlink and video projection capability; an 11,000 square foot gymnasium/exhibition hall, a welcoming atrium entrance, meeting and training rooms, a two-story art gallery, and a large forum room suitable for lectures, conferences, receptions, hearings, dinner parties and performances expecting smaller audiences.

The Center serves multiple purposes and can accommodate a variety of group sizes -- from 5 to more than 500 people. All meeting spaces are comfortable and versatile. Facilities are clean, attractive, accessible and have outstanding technological features.

NOVA’s Loudoun Campus has classrooms, computer labs and a theater available for rent by business and professional organizations. Community groups and individuals are also welcome to rent our facilities for special events like recitals, concerts, seminars and more.

NOVA's Manassas Campus has a variety of amenities perfect for functions of any kind or size. Facilities include the Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater featuring bench seats for 500 people and lawn seating for an additional 200 or more; the Colgan Theater, 120-seat capacity; and Howsmon Lecture Hall, 150-seat capacity. We can also assist in arranging special parking, audio/visual needs, caterers and entertainment.
