About ATD

NOVA joined Achieving the Dream (ATD) in 2007 and had many early achievements in the area of student success. When NOVA joined the network, as expected, NOVA established a Core Team, Campus Teams and a Data Team. By implementing new student success initiatives, NOVA was able to demonstrate sustained student success improvement thus becoming an ATD Leader College in 2010.

The Core Team played a critical role in selecting the QEP for SACSCOC accreditation in 2011. From 2015 to 2019, the College’s ATD Priorities shifted to developing and implementing large-scale change in the College’s organizational structure. In 2019, the college embarked on a revamping effort of the ATD at NOVA structure and priorities. The continued reflection, assessment, and improvement that NOVA has made, led the College to becoming an ATD Leader College of Distinction in 2020.
