Testing Center - Alexandria

Out of an abundance of caution regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention, NOVA has shifted to providing remote services beginning March 18, 2020. NOVA Testing Centers are responding to emails and voicemails but not administering exams until further notice.

NOVA is working to develop solutions for alternate forms of assessment. Students should contact their instructors with questions about examinations that will be taking place before testing centers reopen. Students with documented accommodations may contact their DSS counselors with questions about testing.

Placement testing options are being evaluated at the state level for Virginia community colleges. When plans are in place, all advisors and faculty will be notified to help each of you with placement into classes. Thank you for your patience.

Please refer to NOVA’s COVID-19 webpage for the most recent information regarding campus operations.

We provide a wide range of testing and proctoring services to students. In order to provide you with the best possible experience, be sure to come prepared and arrive early to allow yourself enough time to complete each test.

government-issued, unexpired picture ID is required to take any exam in the Testing Center.

  • Examples: Driver's License, military ID, passport, personal identification card from DMV, NOVACard Photo ID or Permanent Resident Card. Pictures or photocopies of identification are not permitted.

You will be asked to remove outwear, i.e. coats and jackets and secure them in areas provided. Noncompliance of any policy will result in the student not be allowed to test.
