Welcome to NOVA! Whatever your educational goals, we can help you achieve them. There are a few steps you will need to take to be ready for your first day of class. Familiarize yourself with this page and complete each step. If you need help at any time, please contact virtual advising.

Follow This Step-by-Step Checklist to Get Started:

Submit an application for admission: Online | Download Application

If you believe you qualify for in-state tuition rates, complete the in-state tuition section of the application form before enrolling and paying tuition.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible or at least six weeks prior to the tuition payment deadline. Use the online tutorial to help you complete the form.

Most new students should take the English and math placement tests.

  • Tests are given at each campus testing center.
  • Photo ID and Student ID number (issued upon completion of the application or found on your NOVACard) are required.

Allow approximately two hours for each test.

To best support your successful transition and integration into college life, you are invited to attend a New Student Orientation for Adult Learners. Register now!
