Program Mission, Goal and Objectives
Mission
The mission of the Adult Career Pathways Program is to provide a holistic array of services that are responsive, individualized and appropriate to support and prepare adults to develop the employable skills needed to enter or re-enter the workforce through a customized combination of training classes, workshops and academic courses.
Goal
To provide adults with a foothold into the workforce through a personalized combination of education, training and workshops.
Objective 1
To provide adults with employable soft skills needed to enter or re-enter the workforce.
- ACP offers workshops that focus on resume writing, interviewing skills, job searching, dressing for success, time management, communication skills and more.
- ACP will refer students to the Financial Stability Program for assistance with financial education and coaching services to improve their financial well-being.
- ACP will host seminars that will bring in various community employers to discuss the employment market and skills needed to enter.
Objective 2
To increase adult attainment of workforce training, college-level certificates and/or postsecondary degrees that will lead to employment.
- ACP will provide assistance in supporting students in gaining the skills/education necessary for employment.
