Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Adult Career Pathways Program, you MUST meet the following requirements:
A potential or current NOVA students who are parents and/or above the age of 25 who within the past 18 months have experienced housing insecurity or homelessness and/or a loss of employment or no employment.
OR
A potential or current NOVA students who are 25 years of age or older and meet at least five of the criteria below:
- Referred by a Community Based Organization (CBO)
- Need for immediate revenue source/job
- Underemployed student/low wage worker
- Loss of employment or no employment in the last six months
- High risk of academic failure
- Workforce referral for intensive academic counseling
- Recently arrived/work-eligible immigrant with multiple barriers
- Ongoing major financial difficulties
- A student who delayed enrollment out of high school (5 or more years)
- Parenting student
- Students with housing insecurity
- Low socioeconomic status (e.g., 20 percent below median income, see Table 1)
- Single parent
- Minority student
- First generation college student
