The Photography and Media AAS curriculum prepares students for diverse career options in the profession, and the AFA curriculum prepares students for transfer to BFA programs. Working professionals may also add to or update their skills. Students in all PHT classes learn to solve visual problems through the study of technique, history, theory and aesthetics, and completion of individual projects with group critiques.
Transfer is not the primary purpose of this credential; however, NOVA may have agreements that facilitate the transfer of this and other career-oriented programs to selected senior institutions. In order to learn more about possible transfer opportunities please visit: https://www.nvcc.edu/transfer/. Students interested in transferring should contact an advisor or counselor to discuss their options and plans.
