Substantive Change Committee

The College-Wide Substantive Change Committee reviews and identifies anticipated off-campus sites and changes in curriculum.  Twice a year in October and March, a complete review of off-campus sites, closure of off-campus sites, course offerings, and anticipated new off-campus sites is reviewed.  Any correspondence to SACSCOC regarding any change is written by the Dir. Of Accreditation Policy Compliance and submitted to SACSCOC through the approval of NOVA’s SACSCOC Liaison.

Committee membership is designed to include departments within the college that regularly are in need of information regarding substantive changes, have direct knowledge of substantive changes or have input regarding substantive changes. 

The Committee consists of the following members:

  • Director of Accreditation Policy Compliance
  • Director of Financial Aid
  • Director of Dual Enrollment
  • Clery Coordinator
  • Curriculum Committee Member at Large- 2 year appointed
