Student Profile - Charmaine Corpuz
I’ve been given a lot of great opportunities at the Medical Education Campus as a nursing student and president of Phi Theta Kappa. I’ve developed stronger ties with many of my classmates and I’ve had the chance to work closer with the faculty.
Serving as president of an organization is a lot of work, but it’s also very rewarding. During the spring ’11 semester we participated in the Honors in Action competition and won the regional competition against thousands of other east coast colleges. It was a big achievement for us because we came together as a campus and we were able to leave with a first place award for our work.
There’s a lot of activity on this campus. It’s a warm and friendly environment. In the classroom, I don’t feel like I’m competing to be the best student, but rather like I’m working together with others to be a better team.
