I chose NOVA because I didn't want to go to a trade school. I started as a general business major hoping to get into finance, but I came to the conclusion that I liked marketing better. I got a lot of different perspectives at NOVA and learned about opportunities that I wasn't aware of before.
I liked the fact that NOVA offered Guaranteed Admissions Agreements with the ability to transfer to a four year university. I'm going into the Marketing program at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Innovation program. I wouldn't have considered VCU as a school if I hadn't been informed about their programs by my NOVA advisors.
NOVA taught me a lot about myself. It challenged me and made me learn how to be responsible and prioritize things, which is something I wasn't very good at prior to coming here. I encourage you to get involved and take advantage of the opportunities available at the College.
