The Student Services professionals, faculty and staff would like to congratulate you on your decision to peruse your education at NOVA. We are excited to offer the following programs to help with your transition to NOVA. Please read the information for each program and register on line early. Space is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
NSO is highly encouraged if you are a new student.
New student orientation is mandatory for all first time students to the Woodbridge campus. Orientation allows you an opportunity to meet with faculty advisors, counselors, admissions specialists, and financial aid. If you would like to attend orientation please complete the NOVA application and take the English & Math Placement Test.
NSO is for you if:

NOVA DAY-OPEN HOUSE
NOVA DAY is encouraged if you are interested in NOVA basics.
We will have an open lab available to complete an application if interested and our testing center will be open for placement testing.

FIRST YEAR BRIDGE PROGRAM
FYBP is highly encouraged if you are a new student.
If you would like to enroll in the FYBP please complete the NOVA application and take the English & Math Placement Test. You will also need to apply to the FYBP Program.
The program begins on July 3, 2007 through August 9, 2007. During the FYBP students enroll in two college classes. These classes will meet Tuesday and Thursday from 9-2p.m. Community Building activities will be scheduled every Wednesday from 10-12pm. The courses being offered during the FYBP includes SDV 100, SPD 110, and ITE 115.

FYBP is for you if:
You have graduated from a high school, a home school program or have a GED prior to the start of the program.
Are willing to take English placement test.
Plan to enroll at Northern Virginia Community College for the Summer 2007 semester.
