2pm  Mon.  1/28/08  Rm  106  Academic Coaching – Learn what academic coaching is all about and what specific student challenges can be effectively addressed via coaching.  Sample a coaching session and find out how to register.

 

2pm Tues.  1/29/08  Rm  104  Student Activities -  Getting Involved – Learn about campus activities including clubs, intramural sports, theater groups and how to start you own campus club.     

 

2pm Wed.  1/30/08  Rm 356  Time Management – Learn how to effectively use your time and stop procrastinating.   

 

2pm Mon.  2/4/08  Rm 106  Note Taking Techniques – Designed to teach you how to take accurate notes.      

 

1pm Tues. 2/5/08  Rm 104    College Application Essay Writing – Find out how to start your essay, what to write about, what NOT to write about, what the differences are between personal essays and personal statements, and how to write a good essay in the end.     

 

2pm Tues.  2/5/08  Rm 104   Financial Aid – Discover what kind of aid is available and learn the simple steps to completing the 2008-2009 FAFSA.   

 

2pm Wed.  2/6/08  Rm 356   Learning Styles – Learn how to adapt your learning style for academic success.   

 

2pm Thurs.  2/7/08  Rm 104  Resume Writing – Learn the essential components of a resume and what employers are looking for in a resume.    

 

2pm Tues.  2/12/08  Rm 104  What Are My Career Interests? – Learn how to discover and explore your career interests.    

 

2pm Thurs.  2/14/08  Rm 104  Successful Transfer Steps – Learn the basics of the college transfer process.    

 

2pm Mon.  2/18/08  Rm 106  Interviewing Skills – Learn basic principles for preparing and succeeding in job interviews.   

 

2pm Tues.  2/19/08  Rm  104  Accessing Student Support Services – Discover what services are available and how to make use of them   

 

2pm Wed.  2/20/08  Rm 356  Overcoming Math Anxiety – Learn what causes math anxiety and strategies to overcome and control math anxiety. 

 

2pm Tues.  2/26/08  Rm  104   Choosing a Major & Using the College Catalog – Learn how to choose which major is best for achieving your academic goals whether it is for transfer, entering the workforce or general knowledge.  

 

2pm Thurs.  2/28/08  Rm 104   Stress Management – Learn techniques for stress reduction and control.
