Northern Virginia Community College Police and Public Safety Department

strives to recruit highly motivated individuals who are looking for a career

in Law Enforcement. To be considered as a candidate the following qualifications must

be met (not necessarily in order) (1)Be as least 21 years old. (2)Pass a back ground check.

(3) High School education or higher. (3) Be a U.S. citizen. (4) Have a good driving record.

(5) Pass a medical and psychological exam. (6) Interview board. Once hired the cadet will

attend the Police Academy for seventeen weeks.
