Library Staff

Faculty, staff and students may borrow library materials that circulate from any of the five campus libraries. A NVCC Student/Staff Photo ID is required for all material borrowed from the library.

Community users and consortium members have limited checkout privileges. Library cards are available at the Circulation Desk.

NVCC Library users may checkout books, periodicals, college catalogs, vertical file items and audio-visuals from the library. Non-circulating material includes current issues of periodicals and reference material. These items cannot be checked out and are provided for library use only.

General Borrowing Policies:

Renewals:
The renewal period for books is three weeks and limited to one renewal. Renewals for books can be done in person, by phone or electronically provided that the book is not overdue. To renew a book electronically, access the library catalog, click on My Account at the top of the page and log-in using your myNVCC username and password. Magazines, college catalogs and audiovisuals must be renewed in person or by phone. However, if another patron has requested a book or other item, a hold is placed on the item and it cannot be renewed.
