Instructional Support Staff

The Instructional Support Staff is available
to offer assistance in the following areas.

Course Support:

  • Assist with the setting up and adding of content to Blackboard course sites.

  • Assist faculty in adding/transferring instructional content into course delivery systems.

  • Assist with the adding of audio/video components to course sites.

  • Provide ongoing support to faculty members in the maintenance on Blackboard course sites.

  • Processing of student evaluations for campus divisions.

Adjunct Support:

  • Provide Outlook on the Web email training.

  • Provide training on the use of NovaConnect (entering grades, printing class roster, etc.)

  • Resolve user ID and password issues (LAN, email, Blackboard, NovaConnect).

  • Develop instructional "how to" handouts in areas such as: logging on to computer workstations, checking email, accessing student information system, using Blackboard, etc.).

  • Conduct new adjunct orientation.

Campus Web Assistance:

  • Work with college web designers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of campus web pages.

  • Work with campus divisions, offices, faculty, and staff to develop and update campus web pages.

  • Assist faculty in posting course materials (syllabi, office hours, etc.) to personal web pages.

Instructional and Program Materials:

  • Assist with the designing and preparation of classroom handouts and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Assist in the development and creation of program brochures and flyers.

  • Assist in the development and creation of banners, illustrated handouts, brochures, flyers, and posters to promote special events.

  • Assist with laminating and framing of flyers and posters.

Training and Support:

  • Provide computer software training to faculty and staff, including instructional software.
  • Perform one-on-one and group training as required.
Recording Services:
Instructional Support Services can provide equipment to faculty and staff for the purpose of recording on-campus instruction and special events. Both audio and video recording equipment is available. Class or student "volunteers" can be instructed on how to operate the recording equipment as needed. All recorded material can be edited by Instructional Support staff and transferred to digital or analog formats.
