Guidelines for Testing Hybrid Courses
  • When using Testing Centers to proctor tests, arrangements must be made in advance.
  • Deadlines for testing may not coincide with final exam week.
  • Instructors offering multiple hybrid courses are encouraged to give different testing deadlines for each course and sections.
  • Testing Centers must have a list of all students who will test.
  • Testing Centers will not be able to accommodate Saturday deadlines.
  • Faculty is to encourage students not to come at the last minute or they may face long lines. (Testing Center may require that students sign up to be tested on specific days during testing period.)
  • No online test will be given two hours before closing, and one hour for paper and pencil. All exams must be completed 15 minutes before closing.
  • The Testing Center does NOT time tests.  If paper and pencil is used they will put the time on the top of the paper when the student was given the test, and can also place the time on the test when the test is completed.  It will be up to the instructor to inform the student how long the student has to complete the test.
  • Faculty must retrieve paper and pencil tests. Testing Centers will not be able to email, fax, or snail mail results.
  • Students are required to bring their student ID or a photo ID, and Empl ID number.
  • Students are required to bring a test pass where applicable.
  • Check the Testing Center’s web site for hours and other testing information. http://www.nvcc.edu/woodbridge/TCenter
  • Submit three copies of the test or one copy of the online instructions along with a copy on a floppy disk to the Testing Center. A special drive on a server will be maintained by the Testing Center with copies of these test).

(Testing staff will be able to access this drive to make copies for students when necessary).
