The English Placement Test consists of two parts. The first part is Reading. It is designed to test your understanding of the meaning of the material you are reading. Always read carefully before attempting to answer any questions. The second part is Writing. It is designed to test your writing style, and organization. You will not need paper, pen or a pencil for this test. It is all done on the computer. You would carefully read the essay that is given and correct the errors within the essay.

This test can be taking only once per year. You may not take the test while you are enrolled in a developmental English course. Please review the sample test prior to taking the placement test. The test scores are valid for three years.  Dictionaries are not permitted.

The Placement test will not be administered without your Empl ID Number and a valid photo ID (NOVA ID, Driver's License, Military ID, or Passport).
