Procedures
» Students
must be currently enrolled at NVCC and prepared to show a current student
picture ID.
» Continuing
Education students can still use the library card with a picture ID to
access the lab.
» You
must bring a 3.5" diskette with you for use in the Open Computer
Lab. Before using any
lab computer you must insert your diskette in the "A"
Drive. This is for your protection as
well as the Open Computer Lab's. No files will be saved
on the "C" Drive. Preventive
maintenance on the lab computers is performed on a
routine basis. Any files that may have
been placed on the "C" Drive will be deleted.
The Open Computer Lab uses the
Norton Anti-virus Protection software.
» Please
log in on the computer at the entrance and indicate what service you are
there for
prior to using the computers in the Open Lab.
» Inform
the lab personnel if you cannot find the software you require for your
assignments.
» You
must log on to the computers in the Open Lab or you will not be able to
print. See the Lab Technician for assistance.
» If
you have difficulty with the equipment the Lab Technician is there to
assist you.
