Military Educational Services of Northern
Virginia Community College (NVCC) offers free credit evaluation
to its students governed by
NVCC
rules. Simply stated a student must complete
at least one course through NVCC before a student can request
an evaluation of transcripts. In addition, a student must complete
at least one quarter
of their degree from NVCC, plus meet the specific remaining
requirements of a degree before NVCC will award a degree to
a student.
Furthermore, as part of our evaluation it is NVCC Service Members
Opportunity Colleges (SOC) policy that
each Military Student who completes 6 credit hours through
NVCC also complete a SOC agreement with NVCC
unless the student has a SOC agreement through another College.
In addition to being NVCC's policy, it is also Military Policy.
NVCC has to turn into the Military copies of Students (SOC)
agreement.
The MSO will complete evaluations on transcripts such as CLEP/DANTES,
Military Transcripts, via AARTS/SMARTS. etc., and transcripts from regionally
accredited schools.
