MyCAA Approved! Are you interested in working in a physician’s office or clinical setting and want a national certification for your skills? Take a step toward becoming a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). A GED or high school diploma is required to sit for the CCMA exam. The CCMA exam will be offered on the last day of class for a separate fee. Hands–on experience includes patient preparation for exam and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life cycle. Course fee includes textbooks. Clinical externship will be scheduled after the last day of lecture at a clinical site convenient to your home or work. Course includes 140 hours of lecture and 160 hours of clinical externship.
Prerequisite: Current BLS-CPR card, crinimal background & urine drug screening, Neg. TB, Tetanus/Diphtheria, MMR, Varicella, Hep. B immunizations.
