MyCAA Approved! This comprehensive program will prepare you to work as a pharmacy technician in a retail or other pharmacy. Course content includes pharmacy medical terminology, the history of pharmacy, the pharmacy practice in multiple environments, calculations, measurements, reading and interpreting prescriptions, and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Upon completion, you will be eligible to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB Exam. A GED or high school diploma is required to sit for the PTCB exam. Your clinical externship will be scheduled after the last lecture date.
Prerequisite: Current BLS-CPR card, crinimal background & urine drug screening, Neg. TB, Tetanus/Diphtheria, MMR, Varicella, Hep. B immunizations.
