Project Management Certificate
This program provides you with project management skills that you can apply immediately to your work situation, helping your organization meet its internal and external challenges. These courses use the latest version of the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Body of Knowledge (PMBOK version 4, 2008). You will gain knowledge of the five basic process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling, and Closing). The courses address in detail the following knowledge areas: planning; integration management, scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, human resource management, communication management, risk management, and procurement management. The Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Professional Development Units (PDUs) awarded for the Project Management Certificate courses satisfy the educational requirements to sit for both PMI project management certification exams. The classes offered by NOVA fall under PMI's Category 4 designation.
