CompTIA A+ Certification Preparation

The Computer Service Technician Program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills essential for becoming a successful computer service technician. CompTIA® A+ Essential Part 1 (Hardware) prepares you to take both hardware sections of CompTIA® A+ Essentials certification exam (Exam 1: #220-701) and Practical Application exam (Exam 2: #220-702). Part 1 and CompTIA® A+ Exam #220-702 Part 2 (Software) prepare you to take the CompTIA® A+ Certification exam. The training also prepares you to take the Sylvan Prometric A+ Essentials and A+ Practical Application exam.

Part 1 topics include installing, building, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance (students will select parts, build, and configure their own machines.) Part 2 is a hands-on course of knowledge through application. Hardware and software technologies are covered and are not related to vendor-specific products.

Candidates who complete these classes will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of configuring, installing, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining microcomputers and associated technologies. These classes are an excellent foundation for other certifications.
