REgistration Information
Workforce Development students may now register online using our shopping cart feature. In addition, you may continue to register in person, by phone or by mail.
Application For Admission : If you have never taken a credit or non-credit class at Northern Virginia Community College or any other Virginia Community College, you must complete the Application for Admission online. After submitting your application, you will be given an User ID, which you will need when you register.
If it has been more than three years since you have taken classes at NVCC, you will need to use the application process described above to update your records.
Registration : Registration is continuous throughout the Semester. You may register on the web, in person, by phone, by fax or by mail. To avoid being inconvenienced, register and pay for your course as soon as possible prior to the start of the class you wish to take. Registering early may also prevent the disappointment of a cancelled or closed class.
Web Registration : You may now register for most Workforce Development classes on the web. You must first get your User ID by going to NVCC's NovaConnect page. If you are a returning student, you will need to find your User ID; if you are a new student to the Virginia Community College System, or if it has been more than three years since you have taken classes, you will need to complete the Application for Admission to obtain your User ID.
Once you have your User ID, you may register for classes online using the shopping cart feature. You must submit payment by credit card (MasterCard, VISA, or American Express) with your online registration. If you attend a class without paying you will be held financially responsible for the tuition. Registration without payment does not reserve a seat in a class.
In-Person Registration: Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bring your completed registration form, to Room 210, at the Medical Education Campus.
