Practical nursing program (LPN)
The LPN is a highly respected and vital member of the health care team who provides a wide range of services, focusing on therapeutic, rehabilitative and preventative care for all populations across a diverse range of working environments such as hospitals, primary care clinics, same day surgery clinics, medical offices, extended care facilities, and home health care settings. The primary role of an LPN is to provide nursing care for clients experiencing common, well-defined health problems in a structured health care setting. In their roles, as members of a disciplinary team, practical nurses actively participate in and subscribe to the legal and ethical tenets of the discipline.
Graduates of this continuing education program will be eligible to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN.)
This program will provide you with the opportunity to enter the field of nursing in three consecutive semesters of study.
LPN 2016 program applications will be accepted July 1, 2015 through October 30, 2015, for Spring semester, classes begin January 2016.
