nursE AIDE PREPARATION program

This comprehensive 120 hour program prepares you to provide direct care and services to nursing home residents under the supervision of a licensed professional nurse. It also prepares you to be employed as a Clinical Technician in a hospital.  The course consists of 80 hours classroom and skills lab instruction and 40 hours of clinical externship.   All applicants are required to schedule an interview with the Program Director before class begins.  To schedule your interview please call 703-822-6522 or email lbeard@nvcc.edu

Program Requirements

* All students are required to complete a criminal background check & urine drug test.  Each student must have up to date immunization records and are also required to have successfully completed a CPR/BLS class for HCP (healthcare providers) prior to clinical.  More information will be provided on the first day of class.
*The program is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
*This program is approved for GI BILL Benefits.

Please Note: The Virginia NNAAP (National Nurse Aide Assessment Program) Exam Fee and the Criminal Background Fee are the responsibility of each student and are not included in the tuition fee.  See website for program costs. Required textbook is available in the bookstore.
