Spring 2010 - Schedule for Core Skills ESL Classes

Core Skills ESL Program

These sequential courses offer the basic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills that ESL students need to use English fluently. In order to move to the next level students must show course mastery in Speaking/Listening and Reading/Writing. Successful completion of the core courses is necessary before taking ESL Specialty courses. Books are required for each class and can be purchased from the Loudoun Campus bookstore (LR135).

All new students must take the ESL placement test before registering. Students will be placed in appropriate levels of these classes based on the results of the test (an oral interview and a writing sample). See General Admissions for the testing schedule.

Important: Starting fall 2009 the ESL classes have new levels! If you took the ESL Placement test before August 2009 check this chart before you register!
