Search for text within a transcript

  1. To search for text within a transcript you must have located a transcript. For information regarding how to locate a transcript see View transcript of a located media file
  2. Enter the word or word(s) you wish to search for in the text box at the top of the page. Using "quotation marks" around your search term helps narrow the search. Please note that this search simply highlights all instances of any word you place in the textbox and does not support the search operators found in Enter a good query
  3. Place a check in the radio button marked �Current File�. If this radio button does not exist you are not on a page that supports searching a transcript. For finding a transcript see View transcript of a located media file
  4. Click the Search button.

  1. All occurrences of any word you placed in the text box should now be highlighted and have buttons next to them.
  2. To go to the first occurrence of the word simply click the highlighted word in the grey panel that shows highlighted terms:

  1. To go to the next occurrence of a highlighted word hit the >> button next to the highlighted term.
  2. To go to a previous occurrence of a highlighted word hit the << button next to the highlighted term.
