- Implement the Pathway to the Baccalaureate program in the region;
- Establish an effective partnership among the school divisions, industry, NOVA and GMU to sustain the initiative; and
- Meet the demand for a trained workforce in advanced technologies.
Students in the STEM pipeline are there as a result of attending summer robotics camps, participating in robotics co-curricular programs, are engaged in dual enrollment STEM courses and other activities within the SySTEMic Solutions model.

In 2011-2012:
- more than 1,000 students are currently in the STEM pipeline
- 300 in the middle schools
- 480 in the high schools
- 316 at NOVA

If SySTEMic Solutions has the resources to expand to additional Northern Virginia localities (Fairfax, Loudoun, Alexandria, Arlington and Prince William Region), the STEM pipeline is expected to be:
In 2012-2013:
- more than 7,750 students in the STEM pipeline
- 1,750 in the middle schools
- 2,750 in the high schools
- 3,300 at NOVA
In 2015-2016:
- more than 16,000 students will be in the pipeline
- 1,500 in the middle schools
- 2,875 in the high schools
- 8,035 at NOVA
- 2,725 students will be enrolled at GMU or other 4 year institution
- 1,000 students graduate annually from GMU or other college/university
