STEM ActivitiesWe coordinate STEM activities such as internships, job shadowing and industry site visits with local business volunteers to help you become career-minded and develop a career pathway.

STEM ClubsSTEM clubs enhance your passion and skill and develop leadership and management skills that look good on a college application.

SySTEMic Connections helps coordinate clubs in high school and provide materials for them, connecting STEM clubs to STEM challenges and career activities.

STEM Challenges Competitive Robotics

STEM Challenges

If you are involved in STEM clubs at your school, you have the opportunity to compete in prestigious regional and national challenges such as Digital Media Challenges, CyberPatriot, Realworld Design Challenge and others.

Competitive Robotics

Robotics is one of the most exciting aspects of STEM education. Robotics competitions are equal to athletic events and test you in similar ways. At the high school level the programming and teamwork becomes more intense and exhilarating.

As part of a team, you will develop real-world solutions to STEM problems in competitions such as FIRST Robotics (FRC), FIRST Tech (FTC), VEX, SeaPerch and ZERO Robotics. SySTEMic Solutions offers support through coaches training, camps and workshops.

Dual Enrollment Pathway to the Baccalaureate

Dual Enrollment Do you want to get ahead in your college career and save money? Dual Enrollment is a great way to do it! If you are a junior or senior, Dual Enrollment provides early college credit at NOVA while you are completing your diploma.

You can take STEM classes during the school year that satisfy high school and college requirements at the same time, with a grade of C or higher. Finish your certificate or associates degree early!

Pathway to the Baccalaureate Your education options can get complicated after high school and you need support.

Pathway to the Baccalaureate is an excellent support system that helps build and sustain an ongoing relationship between you and your counselors, instructors and peers beginning in high school, continuing through community college on to a four-year baccalaureate degree.
