Advising & Counseling

Campus Counseling Services, Virtual Advising and your Academic Advisor.


Bookstore

NOVA’s six campus bookstores carry everything you need including textbooks, school supplies, snacks, beverages, clothing and more. You can also purchase books online.


Business Offices

NOVA’s Business Offices provide financial and administrative support services to the College. They are happy to answer any questions you may have about NOVACard, parking, fees, tuition and financial holds.


Career Services

Career Services are available at each NOVA campus as part of the comprehensive education and students services offered at the College.


Disability Services

NOVA is committed to insuring all students have an opportunity to pursue a college education regardless of the presence or absence of a disability.


GPS for Success

GPS for Success is designed to provide a comprehensive advising experience to students who are recent high school graduates, have never been to college before and are enrolled in an academic program.


International Student Resources

Serves the needs of international students on all six campuses and is the central Office of International Students Services (OISS).


Libraries

NOVA Libraries provide access to a vast collection of materials in print, audio-visual, and electronic formats that support the curriculum of each discipline, college programs, and popular interests.


Military Services

NOVA’s Office of Military Services helps all members of the military community (active duty, veterans and family members) achieve their education and career goals.


NOVACard

NOVACard is FREE and provides our students, faculty and staff with benefits and services such as printing, copying, checking out books from a NOVA Library, purchasing from select beverage machines, purchasing from campus cafés and restaurants, access and parking.


NOVACares

NOVA is concerned about more than academic success, we also care about the emotional and physical well-being of our community members. The NOVACares process provides anyone a way to share his or her concerns by submitting an online incident report.


Parking

You can order a permit, pay/appeal a citation, purchase a daily permit and find more information about NOVA’s parking rules and regulations on their website.


Pathway Initiatives

College Pathway Initiatives are four specialized college access programs at NOVA that collectively support more than 10,000 students of all ages across Northern Virginia.


Police

Each NOVA campus is staffed with police and public safety officials, emergency preparedness plans and a system for notifying students of campus closures due to inclement weather or other safety issues.


Shuttle

The NOVA Shuttle runs regularly between NOVA campuses and centers and nearby Metro stations. All NOVA students, staff or faculty can ride for free by showing their NOVA Card (required to ride).


Technology

NOVA consistently ranks among the top colleges nationally for using technology to provide exceptional services to students and increase educator effectiveness.


Testing

Learn about English, math and ESL placement exams and makeup tests at NOVA.


Tutoring

If you need help with a specific class, visit one of NOVA’s tutoring centers. All NOVA campuses provide tutoring services absolutely free to any current NOVA student.
