SCHLESINGER CENTER EVENT PARKING
PAYMENT OPTIONS

When an organization is hosting a special event at the Schlesinger Center and a large number of patrons will require parking spaces, the event sponsor must coordinate with the Campus Parking Supervisor at least two weeks prior to the event.  Event parking is restricted to the Beauregard Street Garage.  Event Sponsors are responsible for notifying their audiences of the parking rules and regulations.

ORGANIZATIONS AND/OR EVENT SPONSORS NOT MAKING ARRANGEMENTS WITH PARKING SERVICES TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT WILL AUTOMATICALLY DEFAULT TO OPTION 2.

  • Option 1:

The host organization can rent the Beauregard Street Garage, which has 534 parking spaces, for a flat fee of thirty percent (30%) of the Total Building Fees noted in the Schlesinger Center Contract (p.12).  Parking Services will provide two parking attendants for traffic and pedestrian control.  Sponsors will coordinate billing arrangements with the Campus Parking Supervisor.

  • Option 2:

Parking Services will collect a per-car parking fee from patrons at the entrance to the garage. Sponsors will also need to pay for parking for their performers and staff.  It is the responsibility of the organization to inform their patrons, performers, and staff of the parking fee prior to their arrival to the event.  Please contact the campus parking supervisor for the current per-car rate.

The organization may pre-purchase hangtag passes for any necessary rehearsals, as well as the specific event date.  Please contact the campus parking supervisor for the current per-car rate. It is the responsibility of the organization to inform their patrons of the parking fee prior to their arrival at the event and to ensure that individuals in possession of the hangtag passes are aware that they must have the passes displayed or risk receiving a parking citation.
