Students MUST attend all classes during the first two weeks of the course, no late registrations. Required texts will be available in the Annandale Campus Book Store. Classes will alternate between classroom and various commercial shooting facilities in the No. VA. area (approx. 10-12 visits). Students are responsible for their own transportation, plus paying range fees, ammunition purchase, ear/eye protection, and firearm rental (when needed). Note: rental firearms are available at only half of the shooting facilities to be visited, and min. age requirements may apply. Shooting fees can be substantial. Personal firearms may be used at all ranges. Students completing course will receive certifications for: NRA Home Firearm Safety Course, NRA Personal Protection Course, and the VA Hunter Safety Course.
