          Hazardous materials/nuclear,
          biological and chemical terrorism
          awareness and operations.
          Description: Introduction to
          hazardous materials. Use of the
          DOT Emergency Response Guide,
          responder actions at a HAZ-MAT
          scene. Introduction to NBC agents
          and dissemination devices.
          Responder actions at the awareness
          level. Responder actions at the
          operations level. Levels of
          protective equipment. Downwind
          hazard predictions. Detection
          equipment. Practical exercise.
          Classes meet July 10 and 17.
