First class will meet in CF 213. 4121 02N T 0900-0950 CF 0213 Rohrbaugh, C 4128 03N T 1000-1050 CF 0213 Freeman, F 4134 04N W 1000-1050 CF 0213 Hill-Chandler, G 4137 05N W 1300-1350 CF 0213 Harris, R 4141 06N R 1300-1415 CF 0213 Withers, W Section 06N is only for English As A Second Language students enrolled in level II or above. A signature from a counselor is needed to enroll; registration must be done in-person. 4162 07N R 1800-1850 CF 0213 Credle, J Section 07N will focus on success strategies for adult students returning to school. 4166 08N M 1400-1450 CF 0213 Tucker, J Section 08N requires a student to have access to computer, World Wide Web, and their own E-mail account. It covers applications, resumes, interviewing, "selling yourself", and finding the right job. STD 107 CAREER EDUCATION 2cr 4418 01N T 1100-1250 CF 0213 Fancher-Ruiz, E Covers self-assessment, career research and exploration, decision- making, and planning for career success. STD 195 TOPICS IN: 1cr SERVICE LEARNING 4415 01N W 1400-1450 CF 0213 Copeland, T Section 01N will assist students in identifying community service and learning opportunities. This will include completing at least one community service project, discussions on current events, and other issues related to the role of each citizen within the community. STD 295 TOPICS IN: 1cr BUSINESS LEADERSHIP 4392 01N W 0900-0950 CF 0213 Wells, K Business students, future entrepreneurs, and student leaders, this course will cover timely information on theory and practices of today's highly successful leaders. STD 298 SEMINAR & PROJECT 3cr PLACE 4383 01N W 1800-2050 TBA TBA Carter, E This course provides instruction for portfolio development leading to the assessment of prior learning for college credit. ATTENDANCE AT THE FIRST CLASS MEETING IS REQUIRED. Before registering, students should talk to a counselor. Class meets in CG 202.

Topics will include how to utilize college and community resources, how to request and receive accommodations, self- advocacy techniques, and other topics usually included in std 100. A signature from a counselor is needed; registration must be done in-person. 4446 37N W 1300-1400 CF 0213 TBA Fourteen week 02/11/99 05/13/99 Section 37N will meet one Wed. evening, Feb. 3, 5:30-8:30. Remaining assignments will be completed on a self-paced basis on topics such as life planning and social, political, and cultural issues. ATTENDANCE at this one meeting is required to pass the course. Students must purchase the Developmental Advising Inventory (DAI) from the campus bookstore and bring it to the first class. STD 195 TOPICS IN: 1cr FINANCING EDUCATION 5555 38N F 1100-1200 CF 0213 Bailey, C Fourteen week 02/11/99 05/13/99 This course will explore the various procedures and resources to financing a college education. STD 295 TOPICS IN: 1cr TRANSFER PLANNING 4460 36N M TBA-TBA CF 0213 Sullivan, C Fourteen week 02/11/99 05/13/99 This class is designed for students interested in transferring to a 4-yr college or university. After one class meeting on Jan. 25, 1800-2000, CF Bldg.(Faculty Dining Room), remaining assignments will be com- pleted on a self-paced basis on the internet. Students must have access to computer, World Wide Web, and Their own E-mail account.
