          From Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Crime
          and Punishment" to Joseph
          Wambaugh's "The Onion Field",
          crime and criminals continue to fill
          the pages of books, short stories,
          and TV dramas.
          We will examine both the classics,
          and the sensational in criminal
          literature, with the hope that we
          can learn more about both criminals,
          and good writing styles
          simultaneously.

          profile seven major forms of crime
          including Homicide, Aggravated
          Assault, Sexual assaults, Robbery,
          Burglary and a number of
          Occupational and Organizational
          crimes.
          It will address a number of
          questions concerning the major
          motivators, offenders, criminal
          histories and features of dangerous
          places, times and dynamics of violent
          crimes.

          esteem and personal safety of the
          victim.  We will take a look at the
          characteristics of stalkers and
          domestic violence offenders and a
          look at the repercussions of
          these crimes of violence.
          Classes meet on JUNE 6 and 13.
