various firearms and the legal and

them. Students required to visit a
variety of shooting ranges and
facilities. Shooting is optional.
Students will be responsible for
paying range fees, ammunition
purchase; and rental of firearms
and eye and ear protection.
Students completing course will
receive certification for: NRA Home
Firearm Safety Course; NRA
Personal Protection Course; and
Virginia Hunter Safety Course.

student aware of how liability
affects the security component of an
organization and the overall
organization, and the steps he or she
can take to reduce or negate
liability.
Some examples of steps that can be
taken include conducting a security
survey, implementing training
programs, and developing policy and
