This program will introduce the student to the various types of
disasters, major events and crisis situations which confront public
safety agencies: natural and man- made disasters, hostage/barricade
incidents, VIP security and other crisis situations; equipment needs,
resource availability, and the different agencies involved in
such incidents (police, fire & rescue, state and federal
agencies). Students will be asked to participate in a mock
table-top crisis situation. Classes will meet on OCT 28 and
NOV 4, 1995.

SCHOOL SECURITY

Our nation's school systems continue to be the sites for acts of
violence and other crimes. This program is designed to introduce
the student to the various problems encountered in the acadmic
environment: gangs, drugs, thefts and related offenses. There will
also be a special discussion on
"violence in the Schools" involving students and outsiders who may
choose a school as their target of opportunity. The session will
close with security measures, i.e., patrol, locks, CCTV, faculty &
staff identification and similar techniques. Classes meet on
NOV 11 and 18, 1995.

documents and related courtroom procedures. A survey of modern
forensic examinations, handwriting and typewriting identification,
forgery detection, and the suspicious circumstances
surrounding fraudulent documents.
Addresses the impact on agencies within the criminal justice system.
