Frequently Asked Questions
-
WHAT IS A HYBRID COURSE?
A hybrid class blends in-class teaching and online learning.
Depending on the subject, the amount of web-based instruction
ranges from
30-70% with the remainder taking place in a traditional classroom
setting.
-
WHAT TECHNOLOGY WILL I NEED?
A reliable Internet connection is necessary. If you do not
have your own computer, you can use Campus computers.

WHAT SOFTWARE IS USED?
Most Hybrid Courses use “Blackboard”—you
can log on to get your Blackboard account at http://tac.nvcc.edu/blackboard/.
-
HOW MUCH TIME WILL A HYBRID COURSE TAKE?
Hybrid courses are NOT “condensed” courses. The online
