For your convenience and because of space limitations on the campuses, some courses are offered at off-campus locations throughout the community. Full course information (locations, dates, and times) can be found in the course listing section of this schedule.

Certain campus-specific information, such as transportation, programs offered, Cooperative and Internship Education, and Alternate Delivery Format (ADF), is also listed in this section.

ALEXANDRIA CAMPUS

Fort Myer (FTM)
This Military Site Office (MSO) is located in Arlington—from I-395 or Route 50 take Washington Blvd. and enter Fort Myer at Second Street (Hatfield Gate). For directions, maps, and information on base access, go to the MSO Web site at www.nvcc.edu/alexandria/military/index.htm or call the NVCC Fort Myer office at (703) 527-5976. Active duty, active reserve and military dependents have priority for registration for these courses, however, non-DoD, NVCC students may also register. Classes are held in buildings 219, 230, 232, and 404. Building and room assignments are posted in Building 219 and can also be found on the MSO Web site’s “Schedule” page. Classes will not meet on federal holidays.

Henderson Hall (HEN)
This Military Site Office (MSO) is located in Arlington at South Orme and Southgate Streets. For directions, maps, and information on base access, go to the MSO Web site at www.nvcc.edu/alexandria/military/index.htm or call the NVCC Fort Myer office at (703) 527-5976. Active duty, active reserve and military dependents have priority for registration for these courses, however, non-DoD, NVCC students may also register. Classes are held in Building 29, rooms 100, 103, 104, and 105. Room assignments are posted in Building 29 and can also be found on the MSO Web site’s “Schedule” page. Classes will not meet on federal holidays.

Wakefield High School (WHS)
In south Arlington at 4901 South Chesterfield Road, very close to the Alexandria Campus. Follow Arlington Public School announcements for school holidays and closings.

Transportation – The Alexandria Campus is served by Metrobus lines 7A, E, F; 25A, B, F, G, J, P, R; 28A, B, C.

Metrobus-Metrorail connections are available from the Ballston, Pentagon, and King Street Stations. For additional information, call 202-637-7000.

Maps are available in the Admissions and Records Office or on the College Web site at http://www.nvcc.edu/loudoun/admission/off_campus.htm if your classes are scheduled for LVH (Loudoun Valley High School, Purcellville, VA), PFH (Potomac Falls High School, Sterling, VA), SLH (South Lakes High School, Reston, VA), or STM (Sterling Middle School, Sterling, VA). Rooms will be assigned on the first night of each class at SLH and STM by campus representatives at these sites.

Veterinary Technology Program—In order to register for courses in the Veterinary Technology program, you must have been previously accepted and have selected this program as your major. Division approval is required for registration in classes with the VET prefix.

MANASSAS CAMPUS

MEDICAL EDUCATION CENTER (MEC)

The MEC offers all the health-related career degree and certificate programs that were offered at the Annandale Campus. The Center is supported by services on the Annandale Campus. It is located near the Springfield-Franconia Metro stop at 6699 Springfield Center Drive, Springfield, Virginia 22150 off of Loisdale Road.

Nursing and Allied Health Programs —In order to register for courses in the DNH, EMT (except EMT 106, 196), MLT, NUR, PTH (except PTH 100), RAD, and RTH programs, you must have been previously accepted and have selected a major in these specific health programs and have division approval. The Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) provides grant-funded assistance to Allied Health students who are academically or economically disadvantaged. The program implements retention strategies, as well as case management for HCOP participants enrolled in health technology programs. For additional information on HCOP, call 703-822-6531.

OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY (ODU) TELETECHNET DEGREE PROGRAMS
ODU provides students with the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree while remaining in Northern Virginia. See the ODU section in this schedule for details.

WOODBRIDGE CAMPUS

Potomac High School (PHS)
From Woodbridge Campus, take a right onto Neabsco Mills Road. At the intersection, take a right heading south on Route 1 for approximately 2 miles and four stop lights to Four Year Trail. Turn right on Four Year Trail and look for Potomac High School sign.

Fort Belvoir (FBA), Barden Education Center
From Route 1, going north, turn right at the Tulley Gate at Fort Belvoir onto Pohick Road. Follow Pohick Road to Belvoir Road. At the light, turn right onto Belvoir Road. The Barden Education Center is on the left. Parking is behind the building. (Students enrolled in classes at Ft. Belvoir must have a picture ID and their car registration in order to receive a pass. Students must report to the Tulley Gate/Visitors Center before 7 p.m. to request a semester pass.)

Quantico (QMD), Lifelong Learning Education Center
Enter Quantico through the Main Gate (North) and follow the primary road (Fuller Road which changes to Barnett Road at the town of Quantico) for approximately 4½ miles. Turn left at Catlin Road. Proceed on Catlin Road. Turn right on Roan Street then go to Building 3088 across from the parking lot.

Quantico High School (QHS)
Go through the Main Gate (North) on Fuller Road. Turn right at Purvis Road. And follow it to the high school, located on the right-hand side at the top of the hill.

For classes held at the military bases in special locations, ask for specific instructions at the Main Gates.

ADF—ADF stands for - Alternate Delivery Format. Each ADF course differs in format and is often self-paced. However, you should reserve scheduled class time or check with specific instructors as to their requirements.

Woodbridge students interested in cooperative/internship Education should contact the Cooperative and Internship Education Office at Annandale (703-323-3164) for information and placement.
