          PHT 270 gives hands on application
          in digital photography using Adobe
          Photoshop and related software.
          PC EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

         DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGR

          PREREQUISITE is PHOTOGRAPHY 101 OR
          PERMISSION OF INSTRUCTOR.
          In this class students work on a
          semester long documentary photography
          project of their choice. In addition
          to working in the chemical darkroom,
          students learn to scan photographs
          and use a page layout software
          program.  Students create a final
          project in the form of a magazine
          layout that includes photos and text.

          Students work independently on a
          photography project of their choice.
          A written proposal describing the
          process, desired final outcome and
          deadlines must be submitted by the
          second week of classes. Students
          typically fulfill course requirements
          by completing a final portfolio
          exploring one theme.

          ALL PHOTOGRAPHY CLASSES EXCEPT
          PHT 270 and PHT 299 03W ARE HELD
          IN THE PHOTO LAB WHICH IS
          LOCATED BEHIND THE SEEFELDT
          BUILDING.
          Students pay a supplies fee of
          approximately $20 to the College
          bookstore for all darkroom and
          digital imaging classes. Students
          must show a certificate of payment by
          the second week of classes.
